Edward P. Boland School, known simply as the Boland School, is a public elementary school in the Liberty Heights neighborhood of Springfield. Located at 426 Armory Street, the school serves over 700 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade and sits next door to the Alfred G. Zanetti Montessori School. The Boland School opened in 2002 and was named in honor of Edward P. Boland, a Springfield native who served as a long-time congressman for Massachusetts. With schoolwide learning targets and dynamic instruction plans for each grade level, students at Boland strive for the same standards of excellence set forth by the school’s namesake. In addition to a core academic curriculum, students at the Boland School participate in various enrichment courses, including art, chorus, physical education and technology. Students in chorus at the Boland School have performed for various community audiences around Springfield. The school is also located next to Armory Street Park, where students can explore the grounds, participate in a variety of recreational activities and learn about growing plants and crops in the park’s raised garden beds.

Principal is awsome as is assistant principal. Everyone works together and I like how the children respect the staff. I've had nothing but greatness since my children have gone there and testing they have had great scores so I'm not sure how this shows they are performing under state.
