The school is in a fairly safe neighborhood. Most students are well provided for so those that come from low income households are often looked down upon and may be bullied. There are also instances of overweight students getting bullied by the more popular groups of people.

Everything is very average. The school building has been recently redone so it is in very good condition. Technology is utilized in every classroom. The guidance counselors are helpful but do not always give the best advice. Tutoring is available through peer tutoring.

Many students participate in sports, and sports are a fairly big deal at this school. However, the sports offered at middle schools in Springfield is fairly limited. There is moderate school spirit and community interest for a middle school. The athletic facilities are adequate.

It had the most ridiculous rules. You’re not allowed to bring your computers home, no phones at lunch over a silly Tiktok sound, etc. It’d be great if those rules actually did anything but no. First I was a substitute at this school & I didn’t have a positive experience with the teachers & staff. They were very rude, short, & clicky. Our child who loves school, did not have a good 7th grade experience here. Leadership lacks effective supervision of students, which leads to problems, and teachers struggle to connect with students.
