My favorite part about West Springfield is the people I've met and the connections I was able to build with them. I enjoy seeing my friends everyday and talking with them about anything and everything. It is difficult to find the people who you click with in high school but I found my place. I have met the people I am closest with at this school and love welcoming new people into my life. The worst part about my school is also in a way the people I have met. My freshman year I thought I needed to fit in with people who I had to put a face on for and ended up losing connections with them by senior year. There are a lot of toxic people in West Springfield but in the end you gotta find the people who care about you for who you are.

We have a lot of vape smoke in our bathrooms. They are pretty much unusable, and teachers have had to open staff bathrooms for kids to be able to use them, and then some kinds still vape there. It is a mess and the administration does pretty much nothing about it. It is otherwise a pretty good school, ranked highly in Virginia, and has many post-education opportunities.

A decent school, but academics and culture really depend on what classes you're in. Taking honors, DE, or AP will give you access to better resources than most regular classes. ECs were very good, and sports and the performing arts on particular were well supported and felt like very involved communities. Admin can feel uninvolved depending on who you're dealing with.

Excellent school for education and athletics. My daughter was in the JROTC program and is now currently at Virginia Military Institute! The AP classes were integral in her education and it made a difference when applying to military academies.

West Springfield is a big school, and the majority of the students and teachers here are nice. As a student with a 504 plan, for the most part it has been respected and implemented properly. I attended WSHS before and during its renovation, hence losing a star. The school is beautiful now, but had a lot of issues when I attended. I went to WSHS because of bullying issues at South County. My experience is based on four sons who had different personalities and talents and their needs were met and more. One in foreign languages, one in music, one in history and one in drama. It might have helped that my wife and I were actively involved in school activities also.
