St. Fabian Catholic School in Farmington Hills educates preschoolers through eighth graders with a faith-based curriculum founded in high academic standards and a love for humanity. On a mission to 'enlighten minds and enkindle hearts,' St. Fabian Catholic School is passionate about nurturing children's Catholic beliefs and intellect.
In addition to strong scholastic initiatives, St. Fabian Catholic School supports weekly Mass for students, daily prayer and scripture readings and periodic retreats.
Elementary children engage in religion, science, handwriting, math, social studies and language arts classes, while middle school students study these subjects in more depth, exploring the present day history of the Catholic Church and reading literature that includes The Pearl, The Outsiders, The Lions of Little Rock and the play The Diary of Anne Frank. Middle school students also refine expository writing skills learning how to support a thesis, develop arguments and produce structured narrative.
St. Fabian's Falcons soar to victory playing basketball and volleyball as part of the Catholic Youth Organization Athletics organization. Opportunities for extracurricular enrichment include Girl Scouts, KIND (Kids Into Nice Deeds) and Student Council.
