St. Joseph Academy was founded in 1890 by the Sisters of the Congregation of St. Joseph. It is the only all-girls Catholic high school in Cleveland.
Th school has college-based block scheduling where students have four 85-minute classes each day.
Special programs that help prepare students for college include a health sciences honors program, engineering and design honors program, global scholars program, as well as AP and independent study courses. Students can choose from more than 15 varsity sports with more than half of its student population participating in more than 50 clubs. Community service is also an important component in the faith-filled environment. Unique options available to students include a Women Leading in the 21st Century class, an annual Women’s Leadership Symposium and a Professional Shadowing Program. St. Joseph Academy has advanced technology tools, including a 4,800-square-foot Howley Makerspace innovation lab, a 3D dissection table and Google Tilt Brush systems for students to prepare for potential careers in health sciences, mathematics, engineering and design.

i love my school! i wish there were more resources and accommodations for students with ADHD, Autism, anxiety, etc.. However, it's a diverse and open group of people who want to help you the best they can! We have phenomenal sports teams and beautiful theatrical performances. Art students thrive and we have a whole part of the building dedicated to engineering! It's a very creative space with a lot of room to find yourself. Go Jags!!!

Beautiful campus, friendly & caring teachers, many choices of extracurricular activities. My daughter loves it and felt comfortable very quickly - was able to find new friends even during this crazy time with lockdowns, virtual and hybrid learning, and face coverings.
