GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The last three years have had their ups and downs. The teachers are great and have encouraged me to do my best to achieve my goals. I have loved the Varsity athletic experience. We have some of the best coaches around. I would have loved if there had been more classes that were geared towards my future career goals.

Mountain View High school has a lot to offer. I have experienced many different clubs, activities and sports in the span of only two years. These activities lead me to many social connections and challenging obstacles that trained my brain and body. One of my worst experiences about Mountain View High school is the freedom we get during school hours.

The best part of Mountain View is the community. I mean I truly felt at home going to school everyday. Friday night lights is my absolute favorite thing our school participates in. Every Friday for our home football games we dress up for a certain theme and cheer on our peers. I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like the connectivity that these games bring to our school community. The staff always try to make you feel at home and that you belong. I absolutely love my school.

All 3 of our children graduated from Mountainview. We feel truly blessed to have been in the MHS district! 2 of our children completed the International Baccalaureate (IBS) program and were early admissions to University of Virginia. Both graduated from UVA and are positive that their enrollment in...

Both of our oldest teens attended Mtn View HS and it was a great experience. Our kids seemed to have less issues with cliques or bullying or any of the other typical HS issues. The principal is fantastic, the teachers care, the counselors take time to meet with kids and parents. We've been overseas...

We came up from Florida for our Granddaughters graduaion ceremony last week. We didn't know what to expect. It was wonderful. It was very apparent the principal and staff were enjoying themselves as much as the students and families were. They obviously put a lot of thought and effort into the cerem...
