GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

There aren't many AP or dual credit classes, nor are there many advanced classes. There aren't any other accelerated course types available. The teachers are nice, but aren't rigorous and don't challenge students.

The district of my high school did not have a lot of money or resources, but it had the greatest teachers and faculty. Every individual who worked at Streator High School did his/her best work every day. The teachers always wanted their students to succeed and they always found ways to help us do so. I would have liked the school to take situations, such as bullying, more seriously.
