GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Sunnyside High School has been a good experience. The staff almost always seem happy to be there. From what I have experienced the staff are kind and make learning fun and easy. The students at Sunny Side High School are welcoming and I have made many friends. This was made easier by the clubs that the school provides. I'm currently in the orchestra program and volunteer every summer to help with the drama camp. The school games and pep rallies are also enjoyable it gives students the chance to connect and become closer. If I had to change something to make the school better it would be to provide more options for food. The school tends to serve the same food every day and only changes once in a will. I believe that this would make the school better because eating the same food every day can make one lose their appetite. Other than this Sunnyside High School has been an amazing experience.

I transferred to Sunnyside High School as a junior. I found it very easy to make friends. Being in the band and drama clubs was a lot of fun and made my high school experience memorable. I achieved academic honors and held leadership positions in my clubs.

The best thing about the high school is that all the staff always tried to help however they could the bad thing is only when we do not take advantage.

Sunnyside high school has done a complete 180 degree turn from what it was 20yrs ago. The high school is probably the best high school to send your child in the lower Valley. Great teachers, staff, and administrators.

As I was driving down Nob hill today in Yakima, I saw one of your school buses stopped at a red light, When the turning lane light turned green your bus preceded to go straight through a red light. This was at 6th street and Nob Hill at about 2:45 pm. It was bus number 26. With all the recent bus ac...
