GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Being a Pre-K through 12th-grade school with less than one thousand students means a tight-knit community. I love that the older students at Fayetteville High School get the chance to interact with the younger students so often. We are a small community and everyone knows everyone and the family that they belong to. I would like to see more academic opportunities for high school students. More credential options would be a wonderful thing for the students at such a small school.

I liked Fayetteville High School because it gave me a sense of feeling at home. It was professional, but the people made it feel like home. There wasn't any bullying, and that by itself is great. We have amazing teachers who like to be involved with the growing adults and to make sure they aren't treated wrongly. The only thing I would say that could make it better would be the option to have more classes available.

I've attended Fayetteville since Kindergarten, and I would hope my kids could go to a school like this one day. The teachers are nice, and they spend their time to make sure you can understand what you're learning, and the athletic program is great. I feel like I'm part of a big family that looks ou...

I attended this school from the sixth grade through graduation, and I am astounded that it received such a great rating. The course options were the most basic available; if your child needs special education or gifted education, seek out a school elsewhere, as FHS cannot adequately accommodate thos...
