GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Very untidy, there are rats. School food sucks. Teachers kinda mean barley help students in need. Barley any diversity at all. Allows people to bring political embates to school. Also allows racism and the aches participate in the degrading of self esteems of the students.

I loved the caring and small hometown feel of the school. Over half of the faculty and staffer were Sylvania graduates themselves, and you can tell they have a genuine love for the school and students. I feel like I received a great quality education that has well prepared me for college.

Sylvania High School staff makes you feel like family. One of my favorite things about walking down the hallways of SHS is seeing all the smiles on every teachers face. The classes are small enough so that each student can be connected with their teachers. If I had to choose something that could use improvement at Sylvania School, it would definitely be safety. Each classroom could be in the same building instead of separated.

I graduated from JSU and I am now a teacher in Huntsville City. I have always said if I ever came into alot of mo...

Sylvania is a great school, with ups and downs like all schools have.. The teachers are amazing, especially Frostycakes. We love Mrs. Chester. The one problem with Sylvania is our facility appearance. Our school is outdated and needs remodeling. Other than that, we have a great school with awesome t...
