If you are a magnet student, you will be connected wto great resources in your field and will have lots of opportunities. It can be intense and time-consuming, especially if it is not what you want to do with your life, but it is fun. Make good connections with any teachers and staff you can because overall, they are not that great. It is very "guilty until proven less guilty" with admin. There are lots of fights and staff does not have a good hold on bad conduct.

Blake helped me learn a lot in terms of music since I was in the orchestra program. In terms of being prepared for music related futures it's the best of the best. But the staff and faculty (excluding the teachers) did not help much in college readiness

At Blake High School I was able to make a lot of friends through sports and club activities. It allowed me to figure out what type of people I like to be around and how I want to be viewed by others. There are some times where I feel some teachers and staff disregard certain students. I think moving forward they should be focusing on building a connection with students and finding which ways work best to help us learn. Overall I'm glad I get to be apart of the experience Blake brings me.

IF YOUR CHILD WANTS TO ATTEND A UNIVERSITY NOT JUCO- get them out of the AICE program at Blake. This program is tailored to get them Brigth Futures for JUCO without getting them ready for ACT/SAT testing. My girl was enrolled in this program in Miami Dade, we drank the Kiol-aid. Yaay Bright futures!...
