GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I liked that Essex high school provided me with my education and with good friends. I did not like how administration always changed. Teachers and principles are always leaving.

I liked Essex High School because may we're respectful and I made many friends throughout the years of attending here . I would like to see many things change , for examples school lunches and how teachers teach., and how the school acts as a whole.

The education was horrible, only a couple good teachers, football was the main focus, bullying, poor parenting, administration didn’t care and quality of education was awful. My parents took me out and sent me to St. Mar...

"I have deep concerns about the state of our school. It's disheartening to witness the presence of drug use, vaping, and a lack of accountability among some teachers and administrators. As a parent, it pains me to see fellow parents opting to transport their children to schools in other districts du...

This school needs to be shut down! No one there knows what they're doing and the kids are not learning. Just take a look at the school board. If you live in this area DO NOT send your kid(s) here, they will not teach your kids to the fullest potential.

This High School is beyond GREAT the teachers are concerned about the students learning and their grades, also when you ask for a call back youget a call back as soon as possible this is very rare at some schools. I'm very happy that my son attends ESSEX HIGH SCHOOL.
