Founded in 1975 as an extension of the Grace Community Church, Grace Chistrian Academy is a private, faith-centered school serving about 300 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in central Tempe. Here, the faculty follow the academy’s mission to nurture “students who live Christ-honoring lives and flourish academically.”
As a Christian school, the academy incorporates Bible classes into the curriculum at every grade level so that by graduation all students will have a comprehensive understanding of the entire Bible. In addition to traditional core subjects, students also can develop socially and athletically in physical education, as well as creatively in art and music.
And to better prepare students for the 21st century, the academy hosts a computer lab to teach digital research and presentation skills that can transfer to high school, college, and future careers. Plus, students in upper grades can take computer programming as an elective or build, design, and program robots in the robotics club, which competes in championships.
Outside of class, the more active Patriots of Grace Christian Academy can compete in sports via the Cactus Christian Schools League, which includes interscholastics in baseball, basketball, cheer, cross country, golf, soccer, and volleyball.
To grow spiritually, students also attend weekly chapel services, which might include guest speakers or performances, or can participate in community service to live up to their promise of becoming better individuals at Grace Christian Academy.

The preschool team does an amazing job with students. It's a supportive environment in all domains and communication is excellent. The transition over to the elementary side is somewhat easy. Staff is more than happy to answer any and all questions so don't be afraid to ask.

We researched quite a few schools when deciding to choose where to make an investment for our child. While we are are still new, we have been incredibly pleased with the entire process from applying and registering, to tours and engaging with the entire GCA team. We have met so many teachers and family members already at the events we have attended. My child even made some friends before school even started.

All of our children have attended GCA and we have been very pleased with the education they have received and their spiritual growth! So glad to have a Christian school to pour into our children in so many wonderful ways!
