For more than 75 years, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School has followed a mission to provide a “Catholic Christian environment that nurtures and develops the soul, mind, and body of every child.”
As a member of the Diocese of Phoenix Catholic Schools, this private faith-centered school serves about 400 children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in the central Tempe area and integrates self-discipline skills and Catholic values in every grade level.
Here, all students take part in devotional activities as part of their regular school day, including meditation, Bible studies and lessons, daily prayer, and weekly Mass. And throughout the year, students can participate in the Corporal Works of Mercy program in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul, which coordinates community service projects ranging from food drives to fundraisers in the greater Phoenix area.
After school, students can join chess club, learning labs, MathCounts, Scouts, and student leadership. And students in fifth through eighth grade also can compete and find camaraderie in the Catholic Youth Athletics Association program, which hosts seasonal interscholastics in baseball, basketball, flag football, softball, and volleyball.
And with a calendar of annual galas to end-of-year barbecues, all students can find lasting memories at Our Lady of Carmel Catholic School.

Great academics, involved staff, a very on top of it principal, clean and safe campus. A top tier education, with engaged families who also have gone the extra mile to seek out the best education for their children.

We are so blessed to be part of the OLMC School Community. The education oir children are receiving is giving them their foundation for success and helping them develop their character. I can't imagine our kids anywhere else.

We love OLMC. We moved our kids from public school system to this school. We love the challenging academics, the religious aspect, and the community is awesome. The class sizes are small, which helps a lot too!
