Don't feel safe at this school. A classmate got knocked unconscious on a school trip (which school is obsessed with). High IQ but low EQ kids who are mean. No real community and admins effort is mid. No school spirit and sports program is terrible. They care if your parents donate a lot (like some families are giving hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, and they make it known).

Phenomenal school experience - super strong math, science, and CS programs. Biggest asset of all is its community - I've found myself missing Nueva's dense mix of interesting and motivated people at my college. Other things like its passionate teachers and internship program had me very well prepared for life after Nueva. Administration can sometimes be frustrating but relative to other schools it's still way better in my opinion.

I joined in 6th grade and am currently a middle school student. This is by far the best school experience I have had. Although the workload is tough, the teachers are amazing and so are the students. Everyone is competitive, motivated, and unique. There are so many amazing traditions, especially around trips. In the I-Lab (innovation lab) we can do art and work on projects, but we can also use the variety of power tools, the laser cutter, and the 3-d printers. I love this school.

Nueva is amazing because they are organized, nurturing, supportive and encouraging! They are there for you, whatever your child's learning needs are. Once you are part of the community, they share resources and find ways to support your child.

Could not find a better school for my daughter. It's not for everyone and some of the overbearing parents, overly sensitive kids are a little annoying, but in terms of giving highly-motivated kids open space to pursue their passions - there is no school even remotely close.
