GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My freshman year began during COVID but since back in the building the past 4 years have been eventful. I enjoyed piano class and positive reward days. Most teachers care for the students and help out when needed. However during my sophomore year we had a total of 7 lock downs due to guns or threats and almost 3 or more fights daily. Since then the lock downs have calmed down and fights are no longer daily. I would not say the work is not hard and passing classes are as easy as just showing up and finishing work given to you.

As a student athlete I enjoyed my time at Bowsher High School. The counselors and teachers prepared me well for college. They put me in the right position to be ready for college like having me take college credit plus classes.

I like how welcoming Bowsher is, all the staff and teachers are really nice. They also go out of their way to help prepare you for your next step after high school through a lot of support which is what children need. What they could work on is more outside activities for the students.

This school has gone down hill so far and so fast that I am sending my son to St. Francis. It will be a financial mess for me but he can't go to this school any longer.
