Overall a great school all around. The administration is supportive of all sorts of activities, not just sports, and there are a wide variety of rigorous course offerings. New CTE Facilities are also really nice.

My overall experience at Washburn Rural High School has been positive. The teachers do a great job teaching the students and accommodating their needs. As an athlete I've found that our facilities and coaching staff are amazing.m and well taken care of. One thing about sports at Washburn Rural I would say needs improvement is our ability to have support our teams through every game. Our school is very blessed to have great athletes and so it has become the normal for us to make it to state. I see this is mostly the attitude towards girls sports. But besides that I feel safe and taken care of at Washburn Rural. As far as college preparation goes I feel like it also needs improvement I did most of my college anpplications on my own. I've have learned to be a better person at Washburn Rural. Another thing I think our school does an amazing job at is including everybody. Our programs for disabled kids is amazing and truly ties the whole school together.

It's a good school however it doesn't make you very college ready due to the lack of good mentorship.

Slightly below average. As long as you don't have to interact with the principal or his vice principal staff.
