GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

At Washburn rural, I have been able to be apart of many different clubs and activities. Each of these activities have given me many mentors, teachers, and experiences that not many other schools could give you. My teachers have always been easy to communicate with, even when I am struggling in class. As i step up as a senior, I can see how much is put into the heart of my school and I am truly grateful to experience such a well rounded high school.

One of the main things I would like to see change is the food. It is unhealthy, has small portions, and is unappetizing. The students have filled out surveys on which meals they like and which ones they do not, but our responses have never been implemented.

Washburn Rural is known to be a very good school. I do not agree. It is very non-inclusive and very political. Especially in the sports atmosphere. They do not give fair or equal opportunities. Kids are known to quit and give up on dreams because of the lack of inclusion for non talent related decisions. They do have good academic programs, but the social side can also be a disaster. I have a second child that we will not send to this district for high school.

Slightly below average. As long as you don't have to interact with the principal or his vice principal staff.

I am a parent and have been very involved in this school. It's teachers and administrators are top notch. I was very disappointed to read the previous post and have to wonder if that person really knows what they are talking about. WRHS has the highest rates of achievement on state assessments, on t...
