THS IS LOCATED IN A NEW AND IMPROVED BUILDING. The facilities are beautiful. Our school is ranked very high in the state for music education. The teachers are all very supportive but the one thing lacking I feel is the preparedness for the students in regard to college readiness. Not that the kids aren't academically prepared but I did not see a lot of support with college planning and essay assistance which would have been nice. As far as safety the school acts accordingly but does have its issues with the occasional student acting out. I feel most matters are handled fairly although I'm not sure consequences are firm enough.

Excellent school. Tremendous opportunities. AFJROTC, clubs, international travel, community service, award winning music program. Helpful staff and amazing administration. Highly recommend this school.

My son loves his school. He has been attending Torrington High for 4 years now. Teachers and staff are so wonderful as well. Wish we could be here for the new school.

Our experience has been very positive. The teachers really care and go above and beyond. The administration is very open and works with the student and parents.

For any student to be successful, they need the support of both parents and the education system. It is sad to see that there are too many parents now days that simply don't spend the time necessary to ensure that their child has the full support that they need to succeed. Instead there are too many...
