There is a reason why this school is the #1 girls Catholic school In Baltimore County. Some of these reviews that state that they need more "gender identity inclusion". Well.. it is a Catholic school. If this is an important topic for you, seek a non Catholic school. And as far as diversity, there is a robust culturally diverse student body. My daughter is mixed and feels very welcomed by all.

1. Diversity - The school lacks diversity MAJORLY. There are only about 15 girls of color in my grade out of the 100 some. In some classes, there would only be white students. The school claims to be working towards a more diverse atmosphere but I have seen no progress. 2. Teachers - The teachers lack empathy/understanding. This isn't all teachers but highschoolers are very busy and they refuse to be lenient and claim it is setting us up for college. Also, the teachers are bad at communicating with students and once a student stands up for themselves they see it as an attack. 3. Phasing - The phasing system is messed up. It keeps you from achieving your goals whether that is being in honors classes or AP classes (later in HS). The process to phase up is extremely tedious and time wasting. It is basically almost impossible. 4. Resources - Why do you have to pay for constant tutoring and for a 504 plan?? It shouldn't be so costly to have basic needs.

The faculty and staff are wonderful at NDP. They really care about us as students and I feel they have my best interests in preparing me for college. I feel ready and capable for my upcoming graduation. One thing that is extremely lacking is diversity. The administration does not seem to care about this as much as they should and you see almost the exact same type of girl walking up and down the halls. That should change. And they should make it a real mission during recruiting.

We have been very happy with NDP's leadership, faculty, academic offerings and programs, personal support and involvement, extra curricular offerings, etc. Our girls are thriving there.
