Merrill F. West High School was a below average school. There were fights between students every other day, and no one seemed proud of attending. Most of the teachers clearly weren't invested in there jobs or in their chosen field. The school wasn't awful, but there were many problems.

I have came across a lot of great coaches and teachers, who actually care about their students and their futures

This school has been a very good experience for me. Over my high school journey, the school has become safer and provided more academic opportunities. The clubs here are great too and the student body is very diverse.

Staff are really rude and do not do their jobs properly. No janitors so they don't let us do anything. They don't let their kids get food from the lunch (speaking from experience). Overall the security and supervisors are really terrible but the teachers and event managers are good.

The staff and students have little school spirit. I moved to Tracy from the Bay Area recently. I'm use to the students and staff making a big deal of spirit week and really having fun with it. The other schools in the area have much more enthusiasm than us. I was a freshman in the 2014-2015 school y...
