The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

It's good so far. I wish the lunch lines were better patrolled. There is a lot of language but that is to be expected at a public high school I guess. Teachers are really nice.

I had a pretty good experience there. I guess the only thing I would want to change is the people. At least the student body. Then again they are all kids learning to grow up. It's just part of life

Some classes give a lot of homework without being an honor or AP class, which is just ridiculous. The school needs to offer more honors and AP classes (within reason, I get that it's a small school). Scheduling is fine except we need to stop pretending like we can put a deadline on schedule changes. People have to switch classes sometimes and it can't be helped. RTI classes need to be better advertised and considered a viable option for all students, not just those who receive poor grades.
East Nicoluas and the staff are exceptional with the students. The new Principle has been amazing and knows each and every student. I have been pleased with the 3 years my son has attended. The small class sizes and small town feel has empowered my son through the years. Academically, East Nicolaus...
This is a great school if you have an average or below student. The school has had a high staff/teacher turn over the last couple of years. I'm not sure if that's due to the new principal, but as a parent, it's concerning. The turnover feels constant. Several teachers hired to replace previous ones...
East Nicolaus High School has done AMAZING things for my son. The faculty is wonderful, as they take an interest in each and every student. The student body is also unique in that they are all nice kids from nice families. I am yet to hear the typical high school horror stories of bullying and hazin...
