Home to a dynamic group of students from around the world, Midvale Elementary School is teaching children to be global citizens through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. The school has also been named an AdvancED STEM-certified school by Dekalb County. Midvale’s faculty and staff are focused on teaching children to think, learn and grow as they build a foundation based on the science, technology, engineering and math programs that prepare kids for future success. Home of the Mustangs, Midvale Elementary has a student body of about 400 pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade children. Midvale’s School-Family Compact outlines a structure that creates a team between students, staff and parents, ensuring that by working together they can support each child for greater success. Parents are encouraged to participate in their kids’ education and school activities through the school’s regularly scheduled academic meetings, volunteer opportunities and more. An extended day program gives children the opportunity to have fun with extracurricular activities, get exercise in organized programs and enjoy cultural arts after school.
