As a familiar landmark in Midtown Tucson, John. B. Wright Elementary serves more than 450 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade as part of the Tucson Unified School District. With a vision of inspiring students to become the leaders who will impact our world and create a better tomorrow, the school focuses on STEM learning. The curriculum elevates projected-based learning in science, technology, engineering, and math that emphasizes critical thinking and the scientific method. To encourage creativity and well-rounded development, the school also follows Tucson’s Opening Minds Through the Arts program (OMA) with an arts integration specialist on staff. Through the program, students are immersed in the arts with twice-weekly classes in music, dance, opera, theater, and the visual arts. In addition, students can engage with guest artists from the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Opera Company, and other arts organizations. John B. Wright also offers Arabic language classes, a gifted program, a community garden, and a number of before- and after-school activities. Through online programs, students can dedicate more time to their studies whether through coding, cool math games, ReadWorks, or sample statewide achievement tests for Arizonan students. Through education adapted to our modern world, John B. Wright Elementary fosters tomorrow’s innovators.

the school does not have adequate snacks for student, unless the beg parents for food, like the bums wh live on the streets, the ids would NOT have snacks

Nothing but problems with this school this year had my daughters teacher tell the kids in her class that she wasn't letting any of the kids that didn't do their homework into class. First impression, one of the top schools in Tucson so happy to enroll my child. By my experience on registration day with the principal, NO WAY! That is not how you get things done, bullying is not OK.

love this school. Lots of fun learning field trips and events. My Kindergarten child who just turned 5 when he started school was a bit behind the older kids in his class.
