I am a hands-on learning, and I wish my HS had more hands-on learning. I loved the traveling with Marching Band and that is my favorite experience. I struggle with ADHD and I struggled with school and homework. I could go great on tests, but homework is not my thing. I wish there were more resources for ADHS and hands-on learning. I like learning outdoors, and we have outside classrooms, but they were not used often. My band teachers were the only ones who understood me and helped me throughout the years.

I had an overall good experience there, I think the discipline could use some work. I found that there was a lot of discipline for things that didn't matter as much, yet the things that were truly affecting students weren't taking very seriously. They like to pretend that bullying is taken seriously, but truly it isn't. When I reported bullying there I felt judged, and like it didn't get the attention it deserved.

My experience at Turpin has been a relatively good one. The best parts of my experience is the extracurricular programs and the faculty. They really do find ways to help students that are struggling academically get back on their feet. However, the programs for mental health and their handling of numerous tragedies district-wide are severely lacking.

They are very focused on the students. I think that's the most important thing. This school is always looking for ways to improve the whole experience. This includes clubs, curriculum, building safety, and positive thinking.

Despite it's large size, Turpin was small enough to provide the attention that my son needed. The teachers and adiministration know and care about the kids.

I have one 2008 graduate, one graduating in May of '13, and a third child that will be a freshman in '13. Throughout the years, and the vastly different personalities and learning styles of my kids, Turpin has consistently been an excellent school that went above and beyond in meeting their needs. T...

Turpin is a excellent school, I would like to say the best in the city and even in the state of Ohio. As a student here you get a great education and the staff is very friendly and helpful, and they will ALWAYS go out of your way to help you with work. Free tutoring after school is always great, plu...
