Twentynine Palms High School is a pretty small school with a lot of social and clubs. Being a pretty small school, there is a limited amount of classes a student can partake in. However, the teachers are amazing and so are the faculty.

It's a decent school, I would like to see better teachers come in and have better food for our school to enjoy. I also feel like teacher can do better to actually encourage students to want to do better because some people don't have that push to be better.

Twentynine Palms High School's shortcomings are more of a result of its lack of resources/money than anything wrong with the faculty or staff. The school sees large achievement gaps between its students, and I wouldn't rate its college readiness factor highly, either. The VAPA/language courses offered at TPHS are nothing short of a joke (U.S. teacher shortage moment). The school falls behind when it comes to state standards, fairing a bit below average. The food is so-so, and the outside nature of the campus can get ruined pretty badly when there are harsh weather conditions. However, my view of my time at TPHS is not completely tainted by its negative attributes. The clubs are mostly student-run and are OK. I don't know too much about TPHS's sports scene. I never experienced any direct issues with staff (with one exception). Other than that, TPHS isn't so bad (relatively speaking), considering K–12 education has been declining for decades, anyway.

Students don't have lockers, they must carry everything. It's messy, there's constantly garbage on campus. Most of the 11th grade Avid students (the expected "better" students) have been in Avid for 2 or more years and don't know what college they want to go to or what A-G's are. There's bullying an...
