GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Relatively safe school with mostly good teachers. Lacking in money f\and teachers for a lot of extra curricular activities the richer schools have.

It's average. They do enough to get you through to graduation. Nothing special. The student population has outgrown the campus so they use a lot of trailers for classes. And all the land around it is owned so they can't expand. That's TPHS in a nutshell.

Twentynine Palms High School is really what you make of it. My time there was fine academically and I got along with my teachers well. I graduated as an honor student on June 2020. Teachers assure they are there for you as long as you go see them whenever you need help. The staff promotes college readiness and many extracurricular activities and electives are offered. You will definetley succeed and do well here if you study well and take your classes seriously.

Students don't have lockers, they must carry everything. It's messy, there's constantly garbage on campus. Most of the 11th grade Avid students (the expected "better" students) have been in Avid for 2 or more years and don't know what college they want to go to or what A-G's are. There's bullying an...
