GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been a student at salem since kindergarten over the course of these years the food and administration has went downhill. Salem is a "nice" small town school and is by no means perfect.

This school is extremely lacking in good classes and academics. The classes offered are not up-to-date in their ciricullum and there are no honors courses. All of the more "gifted" students are stuck learning things at a slow and boring rate to accommodate other students. Everyone pretty much has to take the same classes no matter what. There are very little tutoring options available besides your fellow peers. The harder classes are not the popular ones because the students that attend this school are not motivated to do well. The teachers say that they care about the students doing well in college but the material that they teach does not reflect that.
