GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

We might not have doors for all of our classrooms and our roof might leak every once and a while, but its still a good school. All of the teachers I have had have only wanted to see me grow and encourage me to become better. I have enjoyed my time there, however I am ready to start the next chapter.

The school is fairly decent for this small of a town. The friendliness of students and staffs are outstanding. However, selection of available classes and school breakfasts/lunches can be improved. AP courses are not present.

Ulysses High School has a variety of different types of teachers. There are a few who really care about what they do and really care about their students. Then there a many teachers who teach without any passion or interest in what they teach or how they teach the materials. There are some teachers that seem like they do not care about the students at all. I greatly appreciate the few teachers that teach their students with a passion to learn along with them.
