GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The culture at my school is sad. There is a high poverty rate and parents along with students really do not care about what is going on at my school. Students do not participate and parents do not show up for their kids. At my games there is no student section and the same few parents are there every game. What I loved most was how our school is rethinking education by allowing students the entire day on Wednesdays to explore and experience real life occupations. They call it Workforce Wednesdays. I had the chance to work in an assisted living facility and learned so much from the residents and their aged wisdom. That was priceless

I have always attended Union City Jr/Sr High School; however, one thing that I wish was better would be taking care of the amount of bullying that is in the school.

I liked that I was able to find good friends there and have wonderful teachers there to support me and watch me grow

I graduated and had a son graduate from this school. Lots of teacher involvement with students. Like any other school, the student has to want to learn and be a good student to truly get the best from the teachers and system.
