The school community is very welcoming and filled with kind people. It's easy to find ways to get involved and meet new people. If there was anything I would change, it would be the facilities on campus. Our bathrooms are quite the mess; dirty, sometimes no soap, and most the bathrooms we have are closed down. It bothers many of us students, therefore, it would be pretty great for that problem to be solved.

There are of course lots of groups around campus and sometimes you feel like your being judged by other students when ever you turn a corner but the teachers try their best to not allow any conflict between students and they try their best to help students as much as possible

The best experience I had was with the staff. You are able to build personal relationships with almost all your teachers and feel truly seen by them. I would change the bathroom availability. I feel like one more restroom needs to be open during the day.

Newest high school in El Dorado County, well maintained and clean campus. Parental and teacher encouragement, student accountability, and positive reinforcement will help students do well.

We moved here my daughters sophomore year and as parents we were concerned about the usual, bullying, academics and general happiness of our daughter. We have been very pleased. The kids were very welcoming and friendly to her. The academics, are not as rigorous as San Diego, there is plenty of oppo...

Our son is just starting his Sophomore year. After going to 13 -yes 13- different high schools myself, I must say, Union Mine is an absolute joy! They are extremely student focused. The block schedule is amazing. Special "D-back" days allow kids to either make up missed work or enjoy extra-curricula...
