The best thing about this school is the people. The teachers pour themselves out for their students, and always go the extra mile. The student body is a mixed bag. My graduating class is very close, we're all good friends; I cannot say the same about other grades though. A lot has changed since Covid with regard to how things are run.

UDJ is a fantastic school. It truly prepares you for college. There are a ton of clubs and sports for students to join. The challenge will be that students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities but the volume of homework is high so that makes it hard at times to balance/juggle it all.

I am a 6 year man at UDJ, meaning I started my journey with UDJ in the Academy. During those years I experienced tremendous growth, both academically and socially. UDJ promotes an environment that fosters academic success. The curriculum is tough but there are many resources available for extra help. I am proud of what I have been able to accomplish. Socially, I have formed several friendships that I intend to maintain well beyond my high school career.

The school has lost a lot of teachers over the past two years. The administration is out of touch with parents and students and is slow to adjust to a changing world of technology. The school offers little support for students who are non-athletes.

Focused on helping young men grow into men for others, which is a noble and very difficult undertaking. Very academically challenging so if you are looking for a “typical” high school experience, UofD Jesuit may not be for you.

I have two sons who started at The Academy and are now in The High. When I tell you the amount of rigor is at a high level, I mean it.Along with that, I believe the amount of rigor will prepare them beyond high school.Social-Emotional- Excellent-Staff was right there when our family needed some extr...
