The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

J.U Blacksher is a small school, so it is simple to get one on one time with counselors and teachers; but that also means there are not many sport and club opportunities .

I love how close-knit the community is, everyone knows everyone so it is a comfortable learning environment. I believe the school could better the curriculum and better ready their students for college.

I have went to this school for many years. In my time spent here I have learned many valuable life lessons. Lunch room food is quite lacking, but the facilities are slowly improving. Since my time spent here the school has improved a lot, better guidelines. If I could change one thing I was fire Coach Taylor.
