More equality among sports is the main area of concern. Academically the school is improving in many areas.

Uvalde High School is a very average campus. I do appreciate the specialized classes, like Robotics or Graphic Design, offered to all students. However, most of the teachers are only here to get enough on their resume and go to San Antonio. Because of this, there is a constant issue with teachers leaving or just not caring about what the kids do during class. Still, the campus is well supplied, having 3D printers in the computer room and giving an iPad to every single student. I'm top 3 of my class even after slacking a bit because of how uneducated some of the children are, but I don't know if that's because of the elementary schools, middle schools, or parents.

We need better teachers that will stay in the school district.; more discipline and stricter standards. Teachers need to be more disciplined. There are some very good people employed in the district, but the majority of well qualified teachers do not stay or not retained by the district.

A terrible school. Even kids who take Honors/AP classes are not educated or prepared for college. The grade inflation here is laughable. Phones are out among students and staff all day. The state needs to come in and take over and just rebuild from ground zero. Teachers are not certified; administra...

They wasted money on vape detectors that don’t even work. They’ll go off randomly causing students to be searched. And when that doesn’t even have anything it’s just “Oh okay go back to class.” When kids actually are vaping, the vape detectors won’t do anything. They wasted money on that instead of...

This school is probably, single handedly, the worst school I’ve went to school at, and I’ve seen schools with nearly the same community conditions do tons better than this school. Whenever I walk the halls, I get a false sense of security for my education. Knowing that the administration, doesn’t re...

Essentially, teachers and administrators have to decide if they want to see their own families, or if they want to keep working at UCISD. The district's solution to their constant turnover is to kill their employees with training days. On top of their already long workweek, educators are loaded with...
