In my personal experience Van Buren High School is one of the best schools out there. Academically there are many options to challenge yourself but there are also classes that allow you to figure out what you want to may pursue after High School. The teachers here are phenomenal and do there best everyday to teach their course, engage with the students, and incorporate some fun activities. I believe that also speaks volumes of our administration because it shows that they take time to hire the right people and make sure they are the best out their. The facilities are top notch and you tell that by how recent all of the buildings are. Athletics are also outstanding because we are starting to build a winning culture through the athletes, coaches, and facilities that are here. All in all Van Buren High School is great and I don't have a lot to complain about.

I have loved my years at Van Buren High School. I have learned a lot and am prepared for college. I have already taken enough credits to be a sophomore my first year of college. I have always felt safe here with the staff and we regularly go over procedures. I think everyone should attend Van Buren High School to get their high school education. They have plenty of sports and activities ranging from bowling to wrestling. If you aren't into sports they have plenty of clubs like robotics and choir.

If you happen to be a foster parent, your child already has a target on his back by school officials. One of my teenage boys was immediately placed in a special education class at Thicksten Education Center which is equivalent to a detention center without cells. He was placed there to get caught up...

VBHS..Mu child was dropped from a class and made by the school to sign the consent agreeing to be dropped from the class. The school never contacted us to inform us. We found out the day it happened from our child. I called the school and requested he be put back in class and was told no because he...
