GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Vidor High School has great classes to get a student ready and ahead for college. Teachers, principals, and others help so much with anything one would need.

Overall, Vidor High School is a great place to gain an education. My teachers have been nothing short of helpful and accommodating. I do wish there were more options for AP and Dual Credit courses. I also feel that I am not adequately prepared for college in the sense that I do not know what to expect. I wish my school had done more to inform me of what to expect when I go to college.

The best part about Vidor High School was the teachers and extracurricular activities. The worst part was some of the students there.

Do not put your kids in this school! They allow racism and bullying to happen in thier school and do not do anything to put a stop to it, protect your children.

I loved substitute teaching there. The students are mostly decent people. Like all schools, there were problem children. I experienced a few teachers, that have since left, that were of worn out quality.
