The teachers and staff are very supportive and do their best to help students succeed. However, the principle spends too much time focused on the dress code and piercings instead of the students and their well being.

I think we need more extracurricular activities. In addition, the school is in dire need of renovations and this will become a major problem in the coming years considering the building is now one-hundred and three years old.

Even though it is one of the smallest and poorest schools in the area, Mathews has given me a great high school experience!

The facilities are old and crumbling, and the middle school students now go to the high school building. I don't like the idea middle school kids in the same building.
