GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The overall quality of education that is offered at Vilonia High School is much to be desired. Some teachers are not the best and do not put their best foot forward. I would like to see more of an effort towards higher education. Some teachers are great at their job and socialize with their students while also teaching them.

Vilonia High School has been where I have attended all for years of High School. I think academically, our school soars. We have lots of good GPA's accompanied by very good teachers who want us to learn. The learning environment is welcoming to mistakes and pushes us to be better. Along with that, we have many procedures set in place for things like shooters, tornadoes, and more to help ready our minds for negative situations that get placed on us sometimes. Learning and safety wise, I would say we got it covered. On the other hand, the one thing I would change about the school, and really the only thing, would be the food. I'm pretty sure most schools on average serve the same sort of food so maybe there isn't much we could do, but in my opinion, our food is terrible. I am not even a picky eater and I struggle daily to eat there food, especially because I know I need to considering I don't have enough time in the morning to pack my lunch. My overall experience here would be a 4/5.

Even though Vilonia is a 5A school it definitely has the small town feel. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you are. Small town politics is a problem but the teachers are very invested in their students and want to see them succeed. While it might not have as many opportunities as some bigger towns it is centrally located enough to give a sufficient amount of extracurriculars (clubs, sports, etc.)

Wiould not advise anyone to put there children in Vilonia schools. Bullying is not discouraged and teen pregnancy is pretty common. We moved here 15 yrs ago and regret it everyday. If your children are interested in sports, kiss it goodbye unless you are from here. Only a hand full of teachers truly...
