My experience at Wakeland High School is pretty great. As part of the FISD, it has great access to resources and is clean and safe. Many of the teachers are quite qualified for their jobs and the fine arts section especially is great.

My overall experience at Wakeland has been nothing but great I feel very connected in the community. I feel very safe. Wakeland has very good teachers here and would most definitely like for my sister to come here when she starts high school. I finally found a school that can fully accommodate my needs and my academic achievements. Even though this is embarrassing to say I had NEVER passed the STARR test until I came to Wakeland and just finally seeing the growth in me helped me realize that I do have a future and become a successful person and I have Wakeland to thank for that. I won't say I have had any worse experiences at Wakeland I was expecting not to feel like anyone cared about my needs and help me make my academic achievements but I was so wrong when I noticed that the teacher genuinely cared about the students at school not only do they care about you in the class but anything personal they will help you with that as well. Won't have it any other way at Wakeland. Love it here

Overall the school is excellent. Their are one or two bad actor teachers that the school does not seem to be aware of, or that they refuse to notice. Wakelands english I and II classes are also seriously lacking. They expect very little from students in these classes, and provide lots of busy work with little instruction.

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL!!!! I'm a 15 year old with autism and I had a horrible first year here, the school admins do nothing about bullying, you'd have a better chance at telling them to stop than going to the ap, and the teachers don't care if your being bullied my first year here took...
