GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Amazing group of students and fantastic and dedicated teachers. It's a welcoming but still challenging environment that's perfect for learning. The facilities offered are advanced and teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields. The memories made here last a lifetime

i love going to chs. the diversity isnt great which sucks as a person of color but over the years ive found my honorary white friends that i love. chs>>>> all the other mcvsd schools. the students arent competitive to the point where ppl are toxic but just enough that everyone motivates eachother to get good grades, study and work hard. oh an for people saying there isnt much stem involvement, we have python, java, html and advanced java classes. there isnt any drug use at our school and our school lunch is so good. i live for the churros and pretzels. one thing i HAVE TO SAY is I HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD TEACHER HERE. after 3 years of going here all my teachers have been amazing at their jobs. college prep isnt the greatest but guidance counselors try to help and you cant blame the school for not getting people into ivy leagues. oh also having only 2 ap classes sucks if youre the type of person who cares about those things.

The school is designed for students with vocational interests in communications of all kinds, including art, radio, television, print, and computing. All of these programs are absolutely outstanding. Their students win external awards every year. They have an all-honors curriculum and everyone is ch...

I was part of the second graduating class of Communications High School and I highly recommend this school and still have fond memories of most of my teachers who I feel had more of an impact on my life than my college professors. It was a unique experience that helped me grow as an individual in bo...

The acedemics are great but of you aren't rich, emo, or a have a specific personality trait people like, you won't find many friends. The principal us awful and the administration is too.

Academically, this is an amazing school. Every class is taught at an honors level except for the 1 or 2 AP classes that are offered. If AP classes are what you're looking for, this isn't the school for you. There is a significant amount of stress being placed on you at any given moment that is cause...
