GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Walnut Ridge was overall pretty good. The students are incredibly helpful and dedicated to learn. The thing I like most about Walnut Ridge is the passion that every single one of the teacher's have to help out their student's to succeed in their future.

This school has continued to go downhill in the past years. The academics are a joke and they refuse to fire teachers who literally dont do any teaching the entire school year (in an AP class). Sports is given favoritism while band and choir have to do fundraisers. They keep losing good teachers because the pay is not enough. They hate to spend money and it shows.

I have always gone to Walnut Ridge so it is my home and I will miss it dearly when I leave. The high school counciler is the best. She is very very invloved in the student's academic lives. I would be extrememly confused in dealing with colleges if it wasn't for her.
