In terms of my high school experience, I have had a strong connection to the performing arts. The performing arts and sports at Walpole High School have made it enjoyable. The teachers are supportive, but some of them do not seem to care enough about what they are teaching, which is evident to the students.

My daughter was a freshman this past year and I was pleasantly surprised. The school encourages creative minds, many different clubs and many different activities to explore. They also co-ordinate volunteering and cultural trips out of country to expose students to different cultures and the worlds. I do think the lunch provided is not enough for growing teenage students. (Ex. one tiny slice of pizza). I also think the school doesn't do enough to prepare the kids for college admissions and the parents/kids are kind of on their own.

I have had a good 4 years at walpole high school. My guitar teacher has challenged me and has brought me to love music more and pursue a career in business music once I graduate. The downside to high school is the restrictions.

You are going to find good and bad teachers because no school is perfect. It will depend on the student and the experience of the teacher on what type of experience your child will have.
