GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The best parts were the teachers, they all taught well. The bad part was the crowded hallways and lack of praise to other sports.

It was great I had so much fun. The only thing I would say was ran poorly would be the field hockey program. It had little to no funding and the program was all over the place. Another thing I would have to say is the way the school handled school during Covid 19. While at an hour away field hockey game, my coach was notified that I was not able to play because I had "come in contact" with someone who had the virus. They provided me no transportation home and made my parent drop what she was doing so she could come and get me. It made me extremely uncomfortable that the administrators claimed they had watched me on the camera that day to see where I was at what time and who I was with.

2022 is was my first full year at Roy C. Ketcham since I moved from the city of New York and up to the district of Wappinger Falls and it was a really big switch for me. My first day was very welcoming and I met a lot of different people in Ketcham. My guidance counselor was very polite and friendly when making my schedule all while getting to know me and my parents and I got along with my teachers very well and quickly. I'm now a senior of Ketcham and I have so many friends and participated in many school events. I even joined a club which was the STEP Dance Team. My overall experience at this school was amazing.

Great HS! My daughter was able to enjoy a fabulous theatre arts dept and music. The plays were magnificent. The choir, band, orchestra were equally amazing. Great clubs after school. Teachers very responsive.

As the parent of a 2015 graduate, I can say that RCK is a very good school, but it's what the student puts into it. My child did not participate in many extracurricular activities, but that was not for lack of choice. RCK offers a ton of sports programs, drama, debate, robotics, music, art...too muc...

It was winter I had to get a blue pass from the main office lady, who didn't know my personal life at all when I showed her my paper to explain my absence she looked at it and immediately said "I don't think family emergency cuts it.", but what she didn't know was that my grandpa died.

As a former student ('13) , I have mixed feelings on this school. On one hand, there are so many opportunities. There are AP and honors classes, business classes that actually apply to the real world, after-school activities, and sports. If you get involved in a lot of things such as these, you will...
