GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I enjoy the small community of the school. The best experiences I've had through the school are teachers having close relationships with students. The worst experience was there with it being very small the same people are always in your classes.

It was the most generic middle of nowhere school with a graduating class of barely over fifty that you could think of. You learned the bare minimum because the school put more effort into its sports than its actual courses so teachers had to make do with what they had. Its teachers were good people who tried their hardest but could only get so far. You had to work extra hard if you wanted to learn anything new past the sophomore and junior years. Yet I was able to graduate and find a college trying something new compared to others and am happy with that.

Keep in mind, I graduated more than 10 years ago. However, the school was small, the classes were too. I graduated with only around 40 other students, yet I struggled to find a teacher who acknowledged any strengths I had. If I had had one teacher realize what I wanted out of life or the kind of things I was interested in, I probably would have decided to go to college sooner and it may have changed my life path. Not that I am unhappy. I have a family, a great job and an opportunity to continue to build on what I want in my future. I just fell in the cracks of a system that was only focused on a select few.
