misery Education is fine if you keep up. Good quality but a lot of work. Everyone is stressed and tired and depressed.

Basis DC is a very interesting a school starting from 5th grade up to 11th its been quite the experience. This school does have advance classes like honors and ap classes however this school yeah it wants to provide college coursed but not necessarily the help. What I mean by that is they expect us to be able to make college decisions towards our school work but in 7th grade I took my first ap class and was completely lost and didn't know what to do. And yes I should have went to a teacher or student hours however the teachers don't really help swell cause lost believe we should know these things at this school. At first the school was cool and funs had a decent amount of work based on classes we have but know it's like they see us as college students and not high school being prepared for college. And to add many students at this school usually talk with each other but if you don't join clubs or are not "popular" it's harder to make friends here.

The best parts of my experience are how academically rigorous it is. What I don't like is that they don't have enough funding to support us students.

basis dc has to be one of the most horrible schools ever. i attended for 3 years (5th - 7th) and they were definitely the worst few years of my life. i failed almost every class and never had teachers come to help. in 7th grade i had 47 unexcused absences and nobody ever emailed my mother. don’t get...

I spent four years at BASIS DC, and to be completely honest, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. The building itself feels like a prison — no windows in the classrooms, narrow and overcrowded hallways where students are constantly bumping into each other, and dim, depressing lighting tha...

Trying to write a review for BasisBasis DC presents itself as a model of elite education, a place where “excellence” and “rigor” are supposed to define every part of the student experience. On paper, it looks like the perfect school — high test scores, a reputation for academic achievement, and a co...

As a current Basis student, I think it's a good school. BUT the downsides are pretty harsh. One if you miss just a few days, the work piles up like Jeff Bezos Money. It's outrageous how much work there is, since the classes are mostly busy; there is not much time to do homework especially in the upp...
