I've been at Roosevelt all four years of high school and although it wasn't horrible, it most definitely could've been better. For example the school places a much larger focus on alternatives to college, which tends to leave students that are college bound confused and lost.

My experience at Roosevelt Senior High School, was wonderful the staff at Roosevelt is great they truly care about there students, they get you ready for the real world, they make sure that you succeed and be the best person you can be . The wonderful teaching staff I truly believe is the best in the DMV. I would not be the student that I am today with out them. I truly love them and appreciate them, I am truly going to miss them dearly.

The best part was the Special Education Unit and the English Department. The ninth grade academy is a mess along with that despicable Assistant Principal. He has no parental compassion and communication skills

In response to the poster from 2/2014....Having white students does not make nor will it make this school better. As a former teacher of this school I can agree with the opinion that the Principal is ineffective. He was too busy trying to be cool with the students while making conditions for teacher...
