Stanton is a turn-around school in Ward 8 of SE DC. Previously one of the lowest schools in the country, Stanton has made incredible gains over the last few years. Teachers here care about their students' learning and it shows. This is one of the strongest, most college-ready schools I have ever seen!! Principal Johnson is an inspiring role model whom we all admire. I only hope that Stanton's scholars attend middle and high schools that can keep them as engage...

This is my first school year at Stanton and so far I am very impressed with the culture , parent engagement as well as the structure of the school.
