In my high school year, there were a lot of fights that broke out; there were an upwards of 5 fights in the last semester alone. And the administration did nothing to help lessen this number. In fact, the newspaper did a short peace in relation to the fighting, providing nationwide statistics on violence and crime relating to in-school fighting and ways to prevent it. But we all knew it was meant to be a jab at the administration.

I love Washington. There is a very tight-knit community with a lot of traditions. I have learned so much and the Art Department especially has had a huge impact on my life. It has truly been a wonderful past 4 years!

Washington High School is still growing. I have not had the greatest experience because of the pandemic but through my junior year, they had improved. The teachers are lovely and have always inspired me to do more.

WHS has always had a severe bullying problem, my parents generation, my generation and now my daughter’s one.
