GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Very bad experience with this school supposedly they have a zero tolerance towards bullying . That's a joke ,my son was bullied for years the school then does nothing to the bully maybe a slap on the wrist at best. How about Expulsion ! And now kids are actually killing themselves do to it in the past few years . You should be ashamed of yourselves I do not know how you sleep at night.

graduate2004,had a cpl good teachers but I was not prepared for the real world.Took summer school math every summer, because I failed every yr. senior yr they gave me a study hall and called it math, gave me70 in all classes so I graduated. Now my daughter is in 10th there & it is even worse, the staff literally harasses & bullies my daughter so badly that she refuses to go, they do so even after knowing she struggles with severe anxiety and depression. I have felt bullied myself by the staff when I have gone into meetings. Now they have me in court due to truancy, they have made things sound horrible in court transcript as if I don't care about my daughter even though they know that's not true& they know how hard things have been & how hard I have tried to make things work w/ the school for her.I am at my wits end. I finally after too MANY attempts, & bringing in our family therapy caseworker & writing a hand written request to have a spec.Ed eval, she is getting it. Mhs is a joke

I have to give the high rating after an incident involving my daughter was handled swiftly and safely. I was called immediately because a teacher sensed trouble. Danger was averted, but this could have been a tragic event if an adult had not been paying attention!!! Thank you!!!

I have just become aware of a rumor going around that there may not be a success program at our high school next year. I understand from the beginning that any student not acting appropriatly will be sent to the mainstreem program. I have yet seen this happen and for this program to be the success i...

They are making significant progress with the new Principal and staff. They still have a ways to go, but are limited because most parents do not seem to care, therefore they tend to treat us all as such. The NJROTC program is excellent - keep in mind that there are kids from families who don't bothe...

Massabesic's new trimester structure for delivering classes seems to be making a difference. Having the same classes every day allow the students to stay focused only on those topics of study. We've seen a big difference in my daughter's grades as well as commitment to doing the work. Same as life.....
