my overall experience was great, i had amazing teachers. the coaches for sports are amazing. we even have a unified team and one of the only unified cheer teams in the state. i love this school and love learning from them.

Overall Dekalb High School has been good to me, after all it has been my home for the past four years. The people here become family after spending every day with each other since kindergarten. I have had really amazing experiences with teachers, they are all very personable and genuinely want to help students. I was able to graduate a semester early thanks to all the support of my teachers and their knowledge. If I had to choose something I didn't enjoy, it would have to be the early start-up time of 8:10. Without the hour delay every Wednesday I don't think I could have done it. The community here is amazing and I feel very blessed to have been apart of such an amazing school experience.

What I would like to see change is the diversity at the school, and more involvement in sports. DeKalb High School also needs to better the sports so that the culture of school spirit can increase. The science and math teachers are great and they are involved in the successes of their students.

Bad, my kids couldn't wait to get out begged to be home schooled the only good thing was music and drama programs but they screwed that up.

The only teachers who taught and helped instill values and work ethic into the students have just been forced out by an administration that values it’s bottom line more than the education of their students. If you're wanting an unfriendly, unwelcome atmosphere where the students are judge mental & bully each other & the teachers are biased toward the students & can't update grades online in a timely manner. The staff is there to harass kids rather than help anyone for the most part - then gladly send y...
