GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Riverside resides in 2 towns: Elwood and Wathena, KS. Being a small school, Riverside High School has great student-teacher ratios and the teachers there really care about the education of their students. Small class sizes allow for students to get the necessary one-to-one contact that some students need.

Our school makes sure that there is something for everyone. Any new club that wants to get started, usually gets approved.

We have a wide variety of clubs and organizations including: FCA, FCCLA, FFA, band and choir, forensics, knowledge bowl and quite a few others. Teachers and other staff try to give us as many opportunities to get involved as possible but as a small consolidated school we lack the funds sometimes so a lot of the time we improve and make due with what we have which isn't always the best.
