GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Watseka is definitely not a bad school. It's very small with my graduating class only having 69 people. Because it's so small there are limits to resources and diversity. But it's also a benefit because so many students are connecting and involved in many activities

Watseka High School is a pretty good place. It's a pretty small school, my class having only 80 kids in it, but it's a really tightknit community if that's what you're looking for. There are many opportunities for one on ones with the teaching staff, guidance counselors and office workers. Our AG class, taught by Phil Wilkey is definitely the best around, he's a real believer in hands on learning and is a great person and teacher, characteristics you can find in anyone of the staff.

The school is small so there is plenty of one on one chances with teachers. The kids are friendly and there is not any bullying. The food is just school food, nothing crazy.

I hated this school! I lived in Watseka for 15 years and went K-12. High school was the worst! I was bullied for my beliefs and I was made fun of by teachers for not learning as quickly as other students. One of my teachers (I won't name names) actually told my mom that it would be a waste of time a...

This school may not be the best school, but it is better than most in the area. Extracurricular activities include: Science club, Kappa club, FFA organization, Scholastic Bowl, Key club, Tennis, Volleyball, Baseball, and Football. Most teachers get to school early to help any students that need help...

this school isn't half bad. even though i came from a bigger school district with about 2,000 students in the high school, this school is much smaller. but sometimes smaller is better. it's easier to get around, and the people here are much nicer than the people in Bourbonnais. the teachers actually...
